Collectors and teapot enthusiasts will be delighted by the selection and the diversity encompassed in the Cedar Creek Gallery National Teapot Show VI. This year’s show includes over 200 teapots that are traditional and contemporary, functional and conceptual, whimsical and serious…. and all teapots will be for sale!

The teapots are sculpted in a variety of media including clay, metal, fiber and mixed media. Those looking for simple functional teapots, as well as those seeking something more unusual and eclectic, will be thrilled. Artists of different backgrounds and interests add their imagination and manipulation of the media yielding incredibly rich and varied results, as can be experienced in these rooms full of teapots. This is a show not to be missed!

The Cedar Creek Gallery National Teapot Show VI features teapots by more than 150 American craftspeople from thirty-eight states. There are over sixty artists featured that have never been represented at Cedar Creek Gallery.

The show will be juried by Joe Rowan, owner of Somerhill Gallery. At least $2,000 in Awards of Excellence will be given.

Begun in 1989, the Cedar Creek Gallery National Teapot Show received such acclaim that it became a tri-annual show. Having the initial show was the idea of Sid Oakley as an opportunity to showcase creativity, imagination and craftsmanship within a theme. The teapot theme was chosen because of the infinite interpretations of its traditional components: the body, the spout and the handle.
