Notes from the Teapot Show Judge

I feel that I chose four of the most compelling pieces in the exhibit. It wasn't easy; there are scores of deserving teapots here. From my initial 37 choices, I narrowed it down to 14, then 8, and then 4. What was familiar had to be disregarded, as did what was novel, eye-catching, traditional, or contemporary. Strength of purpose, integrity, craftsmanship, design, and concept, were all considered. - Don Davis
