June 6 – September 7
Opening Night:  Friday, June 6, 6 – 10pm

The Cedar Creek Gallery National Teapot Show VII opens June 6th at 6pm and runs through September 7th. This year’s collection showcases over 200 teapots by more than 160of America’s most accomplished artists representing 38 states. These one-of-a-kind teapots range from traditional to contemporary, functional to conceptual, whimsical to contemplative. There are phenomenal teapots in a variety of media including porcelain, stoneware, metal, fiber, glass, and more, from a few inches tall to several feet tall.
Collectors take note - all teapots are for sale, however all teapots will remain on display for the duration of the show.

In 1989, teapots were selected as the theme for a show here at Cedar Creek Gallery to highlight the diversity and range of artistic creativity. Artists were allowed to use any medium and all of their imagination, but required to in some way reference the traditional elements of the teapot (body, spout and handle). The resulting diversity of teapots was simply astounding. The show was a combination of beautifully simple functional teapots, wildly imaginative conceptual teapots and everything in between.

That first teapot show was so well received by that we were compelled to have another one, and another … and here we are now at the National Teapot Show VII. It might seem that by now we had already seen all the teapots that there could be but as the boxes were unpacked for this show we were amazed and delighted by the artistic vision, creativity and imagination pouring forth. This is definitely the best grouping of teapots yet!

Don’t take my word for it, come see for yourself. Come more than once. I guarantee each visit you will notice teapots that you didn’t notice before.
